I live in Langley Park and have been a member of the Labour Party since I was old enough to join as a teenager. I recently moved back to the north east after living and working in Lancashire and really enjoy living in the village and enjoying its outlying areas.
I’m passionate about where I live and helping people to have a voice on their local council. In my day job as a construction industry journalist, I see the benefits of well-maintained and well-funded public infrastructure and I believe that local people in our area deserve decent facilities and local amenities and I’m prepared to campaign for those along with the local community.
As someone who also has experience of working in and around the voluntary and third sector, including for national and regional charities, I am used to campaigning on issues and winning support locally and regionally. I would be honoured to be able to campaign on your behalf and represent your interests as a Labour councillor.
I’m proud to be standing as the Labour candidate with Alison for Esh and Witton Gilbert and I hope that you will support us both, so that we can be your voice on Durham County Council.
