Single mum of one and business owner, Andrea Patterson has been a County Councillor for eight years and is the former Vice Chair for Scrutiny who helped prevent the closure of ward 6 at Bishop Auckland General Hospital.

Andrea is a School Governor at St Cuthbert’s RC and Howden-le-Wear Primary Schools and serves as Cabinet Member for Corporate Servicesand Rural Issues. In her role, Andrea has been instrumental inprotecting staff and frontline services and supporting residents throughout Covid from the setup of the community hub and call centre to providing food crisis support.

Andrea has brought a great many benefits to the area including regeneration schemes such as fibre broadband to the premise, Aldi, new improved play and leisure facilities, affordable bungalows, flood prevention schemes, highways improvements and road safety schemes. Andrea also supports many local community groups and was the creator of Crook Community Christmas Event.
